I wouldn't care if it was a case of, not paying me....I had other buyers! But the fact is, this guy has all my hard work, my creativity, my hours of labour for nothing.

When it hits the quadruple-figure mark you should try and use a contract, for security reasons. I can't see how he will be able to develop the site though now, he'll probably sell on swiftly. Try and follow his steps and get it back off someone somewhere down the line.

Robson has already expressed it's not the money, it's the fact they got all that for nothing. I am sure money won't make up for what has happened. Nice of you though.

If this does turn out to be a total scam....then i'm just going to resell this script to people for like $100 or something.
Put your own design on it etc...

Yeah, sorry to hear about this.
This happened to me before, but through sitepoint..
For a money transaction that big, you should of done a contract or a different means of payment.. like escrow
Can you link us to his/her profile?

Out of curiosity, how did you get it back?
If you have the domain...then you basically have control of the site again, i'm assuming you still have files? Or did you delete them straight away?
Thanks,
Seb

Well he still has the files cause he already mentioned reselling it multiple times because of what the guy did. But its still not okay, cause now he cant sell the site as an original.
