  Old  image rollover

hi, i was wondering if someone could help me out this...
ive tried following a couple tutorials but could not get them to work, and they had problems with the accordion.
but basically i want to be able to have my image rollovers slowly fade to color. and also, i want to make the border around the images thicker but no matter what i change in the css it wont change the thickness.
here is the site i am working on http://benisikoff.com/port/
thanks!

Try jQuery the JavaScript framework - get the book "Learning jQuery, Better Interaction Design and Web Development with Simple JavaScript Techniques" rather than jQuery in Action. There are only two books on the subject. Learning jQuery is the better book trust me, I spent a while trying to look through jQuery in Action and it is too detailed in a BAD way when you just want the stuff to work and want to learn it quickly.

i have a fade effect on my website. what i have done is create 2 images, 1 colour 1 grey. in the javascript i set the opacity to 0 on the colour layer and when hovered it reveals the image. all you have to do is absolute position the images and give the class to the image you want it to work on.
just google jquery fade
