  Old  Mac OS X Question

I got my mac book pro and it came with tiger installed, I then installed leopard. Is there anyway to uninstall everything from tiger without uninstalling leopard?

Format, then install leopard. Best way to do it.

How would I do that and would I lose everything on my mac? How much space would it free up? 5gb? 10gb? And it is possible to run programs off of an external hard drive which isn't formatted?

Put in the Leopard disc, and when it asks if you want to completely reinstall, choose that and do not carry over any old data. This will install only the OSX Leopard software and not carry over any Tiger or third-party software you installed.

On your second question, you can run software off of an external harddrive as long as you set up a partition with the disc utility and install it to that specific partition.

forehand nailed your question but you need to have that hard drive, i.e. time capsule
