There are a lot of web hosting companies under $20 per . I would recommend you have a look at www.hostww.net - they are doing really good quality for low prices.

I've read the post above yours at least 10 times, but no where in there did I see him say that they were too expensive. Don't automatically assume one thing because someone said something else. Not liking them doesn't mean they are too expensive.

Don't be pressured by people on here into going with the smaller hosting 'companies' ran by 1 or 2 individuals. I've nothing against them, i'd rather go with an established host who can handle expansion and offer 24/7 support.
