Old  How long do you register domains for?

I always register domains for 1 year at first, this is usually to see if the website I have planned for the domain is a success...half the time I don't do anything with the domain in the first year and they often end up a waste.

Does anyone register domains for 10+ years? I've seen this option on a few websites.

Same here. Usually the 1st time it's onlt for the year. After that I usually decide on a longer period if I'm fairly sure I'm going to continue on with the site.
