Old  Mac Book/ Mac Book Pro?

I really new to this mac stuff and I'm looking at getting a mac book!

What are the differences between the 2, mac book, and pro?

Where are the cheapest UK places to buy them?

Vizon, i dont want to get into an argument, but Mac is better for web stuff but i guess it boils down to personal preference, however macs are fantastci with video and graphics. Industry standard, Microsoft dont come close to revolutionary hardware.

I have a MacBook Pro stillt, cheapest is probably Amazon, only slightly, Apple products are roughly all the same price. You can buy excellent fully working refurbished MacBook Pro's from the Apple Store which are a few hundred pounds cheaper. Check it out.

Differences would be the screen size, graphics card, hardware inside of it in erms of ram capability and hard drive space.

Talk to me on msn (in profile) if you want to talk more, ive been using macs for well over 5 or 6 years now.

MS kept Mac from crashing years back, and if apple is so much better then why do I only know one person that uses one?

Not going to continue, and good luck with the buy stilt

Guys hes asking about the macbook and macbook pro not microsoft.

Macbook:
Pros:
Small
Durable
Looks Good
Good for a college student
Cons:
Doesn't provide enough ram
Screen is small

MBP:
Pros:
Big Screen
Awesome Speakers
Better Battery
More for art students
Cons:
Kinda heavy and the aluminum cover can get hot.

Right, basically it depends on budget. If you are more into deisgn and cpu thirsty app's a MBP would be the way to go but if you are doing basic work a MB should be fine. The MPB has bigger and faster HD's, gruntier ram and slightly more grunty processer even though it won't make a big difference. Also you need to consider size. The MBP comes in a 15" or a 17" where the MB only has a 13" (theres rumours of a 15" coming soon). So basically thats all you need to consider. Ooh and the other things cory mentioned

Yep they both come with ilife and the basic's, i'm pretty sure it's exactly same with all of the mac's.

Stillt it comes with iLife which has iDVD, iMovie, iTunes, Garageband and iWeb. You can also buy Pages & Keynote which is part of the iWork package, excellent word processing and presentation software.
