If you provided a budget for us, we could provide far more acurate advice.

In general, judging by what's been said so far, you're looking at something like an Intel Core 2 Duo E6300/E6400 with 2GB of RAM. The best budget motherboard is the Gigabyte GA965-DS3. Stay away from brands like Asrock, they generally make the worst motherboards on the market.

And build it yourself, because it's not hard at all, it's far cheaper and like others have said, you'll learn something new.

AMD always seem to offer a better deal than Intel. I've used AMD processors for so long now it's probably become ingrained for me to buy AMD though.

Like you said the current AMD and Intel offerings are very different.

I don't think you can complain when AMD offer a Dual Core for $95 though.

Q#3: Where you can ship my order to?

A: We can ship to any address in UK. We don’t ship outside UK. For credit card/debit card payments items will only be shipped to card billing address. However for other payment methods like bank transfer, bank deposite etc we can ship to any UK address provided by the customer.

Looking at the gfx cards and they aren't that great. You should look at getting the nVidia 8 series as they support DX10 and would actually run Windows Vista better.

Also, what do you plan to do with this new computer? Are you going to game or do desktop work, or both?
