  Old  Your favorite registrars!

What are your favorite registrars, everyone?
Which have you had good experience with, which have you felt safe and trusted your names with, and if anything went wrong which have supported you the best?

I've used many, I'm an active 'domainer'.
My least favorite is NameCheap.com - its easy and best of all fast to register domains with, but the support is horrible, they banned my account with over 30 domains in it for entering a different phone number than was associated with my credit card, and after over a month of trying to have a conversation with support they told me I needed screenshots of me, my credit card, and my passport, but they would unlock my account. From there, I don't use NameCheap. Registrars like GoDaddy and Moniker are excellent for domain registries.

I know many people may think GoDaddy is horrible, but I believe the opposite. They have extensive support, they're much more skilled and knowledgable in domains than anyone at NameCheap is. GoDaddy has their own offices, TV commercials, and a very skilled domainer that owns GoDaddy - Bob Parsons.

The best registrar you could use, in my opinion, is Network Solutions. I register and transfer my 'premium' domains there, for it is the safest registrar by far. I believe some companies equivalent to Google in 2000 or so have their names registered there.

So, what are your experiences with registrars?

I haven't dealt with any registrars other than GoDaddy and Namecheap. I haven't had any problems out of either one of the them, but then again, I don't own more than 3 domains . I guess the more domains you have the more complications you can run it to.

Offtopic: Congrats on the mod job.

Since I have starting developing I have always used GoDaddy. I have never had a problem with them so I haven’t had a chance to try their support yet. Anyway, they do the job perfectly for me and they have never given me a reason to try another registrar.

I know they may not always be as cheap as Namecheap but when I am buying a new domain I usually use a coupon from somewhere like coupon.sc

I like using NameCheap and GoDaddy. I'm going to try to get an internship at GD in the future for my graduation requirements. Their headquarters are pretty close to where I live.

I've always brought my domain names from Namecheap. Their system is by far the easiest I've used and it's rather cheap

I've only ever used Namecheap, so i think i might have to say them. I used them because i'd heard good things about them, and when i used them it was quick and easy, which is good considering i'm a beginner, so yeah, Namecheap for me.

I've used a fair few and still prefer NameCheap. Never had a problem with them at all, and their prices are fairly good also.

Namecheap has a good price, great customer service, and I have never had a problem with them. I don't see any reason to look elsewhere.
