  Old  Question bout Dual Monitors

How hard is it to set up?
Can i use my laptop with my CRT monitor?
and if i buy a new monitor does it have to be widescreen since my laptop is widescreen?

No, I use a 17" CRT with my 15.4" wide screen laptop.
As long as your graphics card has VGA/DVI out on it, you can hook up dual.

No it doesnt have to be widescreen
I have a desktop pc where I have a widescreen viewsonic 19" at 1680x1050 as my main one and off to the right i have a LCD (not widescreen) at 1280x1024 and It works fine

Heh, I have the exact same setup, except for my main one I have a 20" Benq.

It's not very hard to setup. All you need to do is plugin a second monitor and go to Windows display properties. On the other hand, setting up dual monitors on Linux is another story. I haven't tried it yet so I can't give a verdict on that.

not difficult to setup from my point of view ... plug the monitor and then go to windows display properties or if your computer come with a special driver that's always visible in the system tray go to it and it would be a child's game . hope to hear good news from you

Yea it's not hard but make sure your GPU can handle it. Problalby a GeForce 6 or better for a good resolution.
