What is your prefered method of support for any issues regarding webhosting? I hate support ticket systems and live chat software, to me it seems like an easy option and most hosts use "canned responses" or forward you to someone else!

I don't think you can beat a standard e-mail address or my personal favourite of them all....personal IM information.

Yeah, I have to agreed. I personally don't even like IM information thingy. I prefer a phone number with clear opening hours. But then again, I'm hosted with a friend so no complain here!!

The host I use has a 18-hour a day chat room with someone manning the room from the staff at least 18 hours a day.

As soon as I saw it I tried it out for presales questions, and have been back for a few support things since, really great idea and gives a sense of community because usually there are more than one customer in there, when a problem is solved, everyone learns something.

I really like it, and have been thinking about adding it on for our site.

Enough rambling, I choose a chatroom as a preferred method of support

I choose the personal little chat thing, where you "speak with a representitive".

I choose a chat that is embedded into the website. The whole AIM sn and those type of instant messengers shows a small sign of unprofessionalism IMHO.

I use upload19 as my webhost, and they use:

Live chat
Forum
Support Tickets

Msn Messanger support
Telephone

All these are great for me, there support is great!
Personally, i really like a live chat system on a website, you can talk to someone, with out it having to cost anything

We use a trouble ticket system, which is integrated into billing. A real Client Centre!
