Don't count your chickens before they hatch. Yahoo is still a big player and they might not like the idea of taking the large wad and running.

I think this would be great for competition, no so much for Yahoo itself though.

I personally could care less what happens to Yahoo. I don't like it!! But in saying that, I don't really like Microsoft either so...

I don't see what's wrong with Yahoo! They make far better products than Microsoft (in terms of web).

Give me some examples the products you are referring to. The two big Yahoo products being Flickr and Delicious were acquired by Yahoo. They didn't "make" them.
