Old  How much do you charge?

I was reading over at the "offers and requests" page and it seems to me that a lot of rates are pretty low? Reading about $10/ hour and $15/ hour to do work? For freelance this is really really really low. How many people here actually do webdesign for a living and have to pay rent/mortgage?

So here's a question?

How much do you charge for your work at a ballpark hourly rate? Design / programming?

Still quite cheap for a freelance imo, although as younger people (not causing offence here btw ) have entered the freelance scene, it has knocked rates considerably down.

Since i'm 16, do this as a hobby not for "the most revenue possible", and only in my spare time i charge 15-20$ per hour depending on what i am doing.

My rates are £50 per hour. Thats a very good price, as many web design companies charge £100+
