Good questions. To sum it up;

1. I would like to think that people will take pictures specifically for this contest, that is the whole point of the contest but of course there is no way for us to determine that - thats down to the entrants

2. This depends on just how many entries we get, hopefully if there is a lot of entries then the staff will come up with a list of nominations for the members to vote upon.

3. Sure, as long as it's in before the deadline then that is fine

Cheers for the quick answers Bazza. I just like to get things sorted in my own head. The main push for question 1 was because one of the entries posted so far (at the time of writing) is dated 2006 and that just doesn't sit right with me even if it is indeed a really nice photo.

Hopefully I'll have submitted something by the end of the week so keep an eye out for that.

I'm definitely not manipulating my photos at all. I'm "all natural", lol.

I was going to ask the same first question Salathe, glad you cleared it up (though I assumed as you did). Lets all hope for a great contest

Could I suggest the participants read the 10 lessons from this site:

http://www.morguefile.com/archive/classroom.php

They'll help you come up with the "perfect" photographic compositions

Is there any prize award to the winning, like maybe a badge or something.

As said before, the information thread for the contest answers that.

"The winner of the contest will receive a "Top Photographer" badge which can be displayed beneath their username."

It's almost too late, but perhaps people can submit their photos to the TalkFreelance Flickr Group -- it's looking a little lonely.
