Directory submissions will generate very little, if any, traffic to your site. However they are a good way to build links and can help search engines to find your site and so should definately be used (in my opinion).

Make sure to get listed in quality directory's though and ones that relate to your site are best.

I'm sure someone here with a little more expertise in the matter can provide you with some better information

Thanks for replying Bazza. I would say my site is a bit different so I doubt there would be directories appropriate for my site. But I surely will wait for more replies from some Directory Expert Member

Regards

Heres the way I got submitted to directories and what exactly I did. Firstly download this program www.FreeDirectorySubmitter.com . Follow the tutorial and that will give you ALOT of backlinks which is great for google. Then search for specific directories for your product. Submit to them and actually put the reciprocal link on your site. I've done this and im seeing instant results deffinately suggest it.

When I launch a site, I always spend about $50 to have it manually submitted to a bunch of directories. Definitely worth it.

haha thats the exact same feeling I got when I first went to that website. Looks like a typical scam site. But I have downloaded it and installed it and run spyware and such and nothing was installed and I used it and my site recorded a massive amount of backlinks so I'm sure you can trust it.

I had purchased 400 manual directory submissions from someone for a highly discounted price

Just received reports, let's see how it goes.
