You could probably pay in beer (I'm assume the sites on your sig are yours)

Haha. Actually I could whip up a few good batches for everyone to get a buzz on... The links in the sig is actually a friend's site and forums. Just helping to give his site some exposure.

Therein lies the problem, the people who want things done around here aren't willing to part with money, and expect people who should be getting paid to do jobs to do it "pro bono"..

No it is broke. People are able to hack it, in which case it needs updating.
It's just time and money to do so...

Was just going to say, why else was the thread started to begin with? And I mentioned about the hacking earlier in the thread as well. It might not be cosmetically broken, but it IS "broken" if someone can hack through it, and make themselves an admin or do whatever they choose...
And yeah, IF I had the money, or the knowledge of various coding languages, I would be more then willing to help in any way possible. Thinks; I wonder if there could maybe be a little PayPal donation button put on here some where? And if folks want to maybe help out a little bit towards "fixing it up", they could donate a little money? Or, maybe not... just wanted to throw that out on the table.

It's obvious that it needs updating however, we're not in a position to do so just yet.
We need to wait until the staff decisions are made and the infrastructure of the staff decided and then we can start fixing these issues that are popping up.
Zee may decide to put his hand in his pocket and shell out for the necessary bits and pieces, or as Spencer said, we could pop a donate button somewhere on the site.

Might as well wait until the vB4 launch to do any upgrade work. Shouldn't be too far off now.

I wouldn't wait on that, it's probably still months away (yes, I'm on the Alpha team). Plus, if you think upgrading this skin to 3.8 would be tough, forget about 4.0
