Are you looking for free TLD domains? www.dot.tk provides 100% free .tk domains without any ads or anything. They also let you use name servers now, they use to only redirect.

There are many webhosts offering free domains within their hosting accounts, but you should be for the whole year for hosting in order to get domain name for free.

Yeah. I agree. No webhost provider will give you a free domain name for a just a month or two of paid service.

You can get domains quite cheap these days.

I would recommend NameCheap.com There domains are only $10.69/year.

You can get a .com for $1.00 at http://www.1and1.com

It's $1.00 the first year, and $9.00 the second year.

It's not free, but it's very close. Who can't afford a dollar?

I'd suggest you to use hosts not because of some attractive features or free offers, but because of their high reputation and reliability

I think you mean some free domain names with CName and DNS? Some services are not bad. You can use them for some smaller and easy seo sites. I do this it works well.

But you have to know 2 things. You NEVER be the owner of the domains. See it as a lease and another: nothing is forever. Some are very fast gone. Never open big projects, only small sites
