Old  Contest for hotel/casino logo, $90

Logo for hotel and casino web site
Deadline: 3/12/2007
Prize & Delivery method: $90 paid through paypal

Contest brief:

I require a logo for use marketting my web site located at http://www.hotelandcasinoreview.com/forum. This particular logo may be used for a variety of purposes such as for printing on t-shirts and other promotional items.

The actual logo itself must be in the visual form of a poker chip, thus it must be round and all elements of the design must be a part of the overall poker chip logo. Poker chips come in a wide variety of designs, and to get an overall feel (and perhaps inspiration) for the many varieties and possibilities, please take a look at the following sites:

http://www.mrchipper.com/VegasAMthumbs.htm
http://www.mrchipper.com/VegasNZthumbs.htm
http://www.geocities.com/robtreno@sb.../Approval.html

I would like to have the following image included in the design and have made it available here in .png format:

http://www.hotelandcasinoreview.com/...Icon-300px.png

And, if you'd like to check out the current logo which will also continue to be used for this site:

http://www.hotelandcasinoreview.com/...view-600px.gif

The logo should contain the text "hotelandcasinoreview.com" and "Talk About Your Stays and Plays" (without quotes) and be otherwise decorated or created as you see fit, based on the feel you've gotten for the variety of designs a poker chip can have.

The logo chosen is definitely going to be printed on white t-shirts and again will likely be used for other purposes involving white backgrounds, so please keep this in mind as you go. I'd like this in .psd, .png and vector format so that the image may be resized and used as needed on a variety of mediums.

Colors: Matching the logo currently being used

Contact information: You can contact me via PM here on talkfreelance, or via e-mail at dante@pugvillage.com and I'll reply as quickly as possible in the evening hours. Please note that I'm only online at night after work, Eastern Standard Time (US) so feedback, clarification if needed and answers to any questions can only be provided by me during evening hours.

So basically the only thing we have to design is the poker chip? The inside image is the current logo and then add the text you gave us in the chip.
Do you have the current logo in vectors?

Hi Gonzalo,

All I have are .png and .psd (I think) of these files.

Yes, the icon image could be the inside image, plus the text added as you said...and any additional markings or decorations you might add to give the design a little extra flare.

Hi Dante,
I was thinking I need to transform to vectors your icon image if your idea is to make the logo scalable. Is the psd you have in vectors?

Regards

Thanks sm0ke!

Gonzalo,

Looking thru my files, I don't even see a psd of the icon...I did find an .eps file which I've made available:

http://www.hotelandcasinoreview.com/...asino-Icon.eps

I don't know very much about file types for images but I thought maybe this might help. If not, please let me know and I'll continue looking for a psd. I really thought I had one for this image.

A EPS is better than a PSD. EPS is a stronger version of the vectors hes looking for.
