Canyao - If no other forums have no obligation in regards to choosing a winner, then feel free to take your $30 contest there. We have no interest in people who don't realise the true value of anybodies time.

$30....I wouldn't lift my finger for.

my god, maybe there are people who want to lift there fingers up for 30 USD; you should not look what you(as mod) like to have as payment, maybe there are people to make a site for that price (me) and i am sure everyone started here at low budget, i am happy when i can help people, also when i can't earn anything.

The human of these days only thinks on money, money and money, but i can be happy without money. I design not for the money, but just because i like it, because it's fun for me, also when i am a bad design in your opinion.

Just my 2 cents

rsek, interesting view point...the problem is alot of the people here are freelancing for a living and such our views about $30 (wouldn't buy you a night out here) is that it's very low payment for such a big job. Sure, some designers would do it for "fun" but the majority wouldn't enter this contest and it would be a big flop.

If you want to help the user out, my advice is to contact them personally.

Best of luck!

If you want to take the job, take the job. I don't want to tarnish a prosperous community with cheapskates like this.

I hate to be brutal but at the end of the day $30 for 2 pages coded, is slavery.

I agree with you and Robson. If such practices are allowed, it will just drop the going price for design and sooner or later people will not have money to eat with. We have enough of a problem with low class designers undercutting bids with their 'warez' version of photoshop and dreamweaver.

@ bennet, not everyone can straight out afford a complete version of PS.

i have inquired about a version of Flash MX, and was told if i bought the student version, i would not be able to create works through it if i was going to be making a profit off them.. which means i would have to pay the extra 3 to 4 hundred.. which is something i can just pull out of my back pocket.

So you're saying stealing your programs is ok? I fail to see how that is ethical, moral or legal.

Not everyone can afford the programs they need. I understand that perfectly fine, but I also understand that stealing is wrong and 3000000 random bottom feeders with a stolen version of Photoshop ruins pricing and work for actual designers--that did sit down and save and work towards having their own products.
