First ever forum design!

Good effort, yes the colors are not very good but after spending some time on design & Colors you can make it look better.

for a first its not that bad, but could use work though. yeah colors are a bit too much. i wouldnt use red like that for content areas and just the combination u have makes everything look too busy and too much going on. also ur header is too big unless ur gonna have something else in there. and the nav text the letters are too close together, space em apart more.

time for a font change...in every design I see from you theres the same font, add some spice, change it up. Also the side content is too wide. Try changing the color scheme as well.
