The purpose of the 10 post limit is to make the marketplace for contributing members, not for useless posts in general discussion and seggustions and feedback.

I believe that the post limit is a good thing, but yes, it should be higher, or at least something put in place to try and reduce the amount of "noobish" members in the marketplace

In reality it would not be a very easy task to do (10 quality posts), as this would require moderation on all new user posts etc.
An automated process based on reputation may be better - IE must have 1+ rep points. This would require users to use the rep system though and could still be open to abuse.
I am considering restricting user rights for people with negative reps though.
