Hey Rob,

Just to assure you, the final outcome won't look anything like this forum. I know better. I tolerate ripping as much as you do - not at all. The final's been reworked over and over and to be honest, doesn't even have those overlapping bars anymore.

If you'd like, just contact me on AIM so I can show you a screenshot.

I don't mean to be rude, but hopefully the background colors are changed. Other wise they sort of resemble each other a lot more then they would if they had different bgs.

Remix your saying anyone who has the same background color has more likelyness of ripping? I disagree. I don't see how it could even be ripping or overly inspired. Ive seen sites have dropshadows all the time. I would have to say its clean.

So, if I created a site with this same background with the almost same exact hex codes, and posted it here for your review, would we have a too much inspired thread on my site? Porbally...also, the basic argument in this thread is the little bar thingy and the background.

So your saying once someone uses the a backround, it is basically copyrighted to that person?

What he is basically saying... in lingo.. is that it's cheap and lamer-like to copy exact hex codes and "steal" ideas from other websites. The style of the faded bars might be popular, but it's pretty suspicious that right after TeamFreeLance gets popular, someone has a design with the same type of background...

I must agree, many of my websites have been based off a design I've seen before, but then I make it my own unique design... And I'll most definately change the colors.

This whole topic is a gray area IMO....

this topic reminds me of that topic in yaxay where muuuh accused someone of ripping his elements!! It was funny!! As the matter of fact, I've created a site with a bar overlapped just like TF has now about 4 years ago for a client...

Just look at this forum design, i'm sure something here is inspired by some already existing sites...

No problem Remix. I know the whole lingo that goes around because I use to be one that used the word "lammer," "1337," and "uber" all the time. Out of that phase now... became professional, lol. But I still know my past...

God... I'm talking like I'm old or something... *runs away from home*
