Video Site

I plan on launching a site to watch a popular series online, was just wondering is it as simple as uploading the episodes to your server, or does it require a little more than that? Any help is greatly appreciated! (*If its of any meaning, they all use the DivX codec...)

I could go on for days about things you should and shouldn't do for your site, but hopefully this will get you started down the right path:

Don't host the content on your own server.

Other people's servers. You use certain code to grab the content from their site.

There are numerous legal implications of hosting televised or copyrighted programs on your site. Just do what everyone else does and get them from video sites like Stage 6 I think it's called, the one hosted by DivX.

Or, buy a server in Sweden or Italy.
