Alright well I dont quite understand the language filter, i mean i Get it your trying to rid of all of it and i understand that alot of foul language is too much (thats what mods are for tho) and but i mean how are we supposed to express our opinions. I know i personally have a line that has a word that gets blocked..

I also think we need a sub-form called Debate Hall for we can have debates and what not and make sure we know its a debate and not just a general discussion.

I've tried replying to this thread at least 5 times now, and always found myself back on the index page... LOL! In short, I'm split on the language filter, because we all know I tend to use swear words. And I hate when my certain words are masked by little *

But I don't think turning the language filter off, is going to happen. Let alone making a debate forum. It would just be a "bash fest", and drama would become overbearing. Back on the language filter again, I'm not sure if taking some votes would work or not either. Weigh the Pros and Cons first maybe?

I'm not sure, but I just doubt either of things will be beneficial to anyone. It would more or less make TFL look like war-zone rather then what it's really intended for to begin with... Anyone else?

Foul language doesn't really come along very often, we're just not that kind of community. When it does, it is generally to express frustration — where crude words get the point across just as much as and eloquently flowing paragraph. I fail to see why we have such a filter in place since we're all grown up (in the sense that under 13s aren't allowed to register here)... The only reason it's here is because it's just part of forum life. Then again, filtering such words isn't so harmful, we all know what they say.

Randy, your one wish is granted. The language filter is "off" for the most part. The only word filtered as far as I know is the word that rhymes with "Hunt". Regarding the "Debate Hall", it hasn't been discussed, although I don't for-see it happening.

That said, don't abuse your new allowable vocabulary! We'll still jump on you if a post isn't something we want here at Talkfreelance.

Agreed with that, i didnt mean like just allow it nonstop but like for a worthy cause like if your stating something important or some personal opinions but not to be like 'you ****ing jack***' (note i put the stars there myself to demonstrate without getting in trouble myself)
