MOTM seems now be SOTM (Staff Of The Month), once in a while its fine to have a staff member win, but to have staff members win the MOTM award month after months seems odd. Staff members do more because they are staff, so to compare them laterally seems unfair. I suggest that staff become ineligible for MOTM and we have a SOTM competition.
I'll look past the grammar in this thread and whole heartedly agree.
Being a staff member and working with the rest of them allows me to see how much work these users really do put into this community, and yes it's great however it's a given that a staff member is going to be a stellar member so I agree that we should make a motion to have staff ineligible for the MOTM contest starting next month.
I think having a seperate contest for staff (Considently named "SOTM") is out of the question. I just don't feel it would be right to do this. However, I'm all for making staff ineligible in MOTM contests. I'm interested in other members thoughts on this... discuss
Furthermore, the staff are expected to do the criteria that MOTM winners normally entail - that's why they're staff right? It's like rewarding a phone salesman for selling phones. If there was a SOTM it would be like rewarding that phone salesman for selling high quantities of phones.
