  Old  vBulletin slicing guide?

Would anyone happen to have a vB slicing guide or happen to have a link to one?

Well if I`m not wrong it`s done as any other template or web layout is done . like dreamwever (for CSS) and photoshop (for images).

Then it is divided into parts like header / content / sidebar / footer and save to different php files.

Then you need put codes inorder to show up in that specefic area. I would suggest you try editing a available template for trial.

vB skinning is basically replacing default images. Anything more complicated is just going inside the HTML templates and custom editing.

Sadly there is no vB skinning guide, all you can do is go out and learn the templating system, and if you dont know it, HTML and CSS.

No, I dont know of anyone who uses Dreamweaver to edit any of the HTML templates in vB. If you cant use Notepad when coding, vB coding will be difficult.

No PHP files are edited. In the Admin CP there is a section on skinning. For each skin there are HTML templates vB imports, and you can edit them. Its difficult what learning what each area is, but after a while its easy.
