Keep track on your websites statistics :)
Hey guys just letting you know of a very good resource for keeping a watchful eye over your websites statistics.
The first one is http://www.pagerank.net which can tell you your google pagerank for the particular website, suitable keywords you should use for meta tags, what search engines have indexed you and more.
The second one which i find very handy is http://www.trafficrankers.com, it details information about your overture rating, google rating, alexa rating etc.
What is everyones pagerank and alexa rating right now? Currently talkfreelance has a mammoth alexa rating (not sure why) over 1,000,000 which is insane.....banners2go at one stage was at 88,000 Our pagerank is currently PR2.

Bazza, your PR is 2 apparently.
My site is PR2, and has no Alexa rating although i'm not surprised as it is pretty much derelict.

I doubt page rank really makes a difference though, because you could have a website that gets 1,000+ unique visitors per day and your PR could still be 1 or 2.

Are you advertising your website? Consider affiliates with other websites or forums, ones that attract alot of visitors. Links in signitures on forums like you have here is a great way to attract new visitors.
You could also consider using a program like overture ( www.overture.com), banner impressions on websites or other forms of advertising such as e-mail marketing, targeted traffic, referals etc.
If your product is good and you are advertising in the right places to the right people then your traffic should increase over time

overture is out of my budget right now... The whole christmas shopping has me broke. How do I get alexa hits, do I have to pay for that too? I havent' done a lot of advertising lately, but what do you recommend? I wouldn't mind paying a little bit here adn there.

Don't bother with alexa....it is just a useless traffic statistic based on how many people are viewing your website through the alexa toolbar. Depending on your budget and services offering....some well placed impressions on design/development forums could go down well.
Keep clear of banner exchanges, traffic sites, pr swaps etc....they will not increase your business just lose you money!
