  Old  IE9 Public Beta Release

Hey people,

IE9 Beta will be available for download @ 10 30 AM San Francisco time. I absolutely cannot wait. If you want to tune into the live webcast you can do so here: http://beautyoftheweb.com .

I'm hoping for these features ATM:

*Superfast Launch (faster than or just as fast as Chrome 6.0)
*Superfast Page Rendering (again, Faster than or Just as fast as Chrome 6.0)
*DECENT web developer tools (Thats a stretch but i seriously want something similar to Firebug)
*Low memory footprint
*Great UI

I don't know if any of you guys would be interested/excited, but if you are you should post up the features you want to see and maybe we can discuss what we like/dislike once the browser is released!

I'm not leaving firefox until they have all the extensions I know and love (at the moment that is adblock, firebug, fire resizer, forecastfox, video download helper, tamper, and add 'n edit cookies). And even if IE gets all of those, I'll still need a reason to justify a switch.

Opera > Chrome > Safari > Firefox > IE ...yeah, it's gonna be a while until I get round to IE.

MS will NEVER be developer/designer friendly. The only reason they have been improving things lately (starting with improved standards support in IE 7) is because others actually started giving them serious competition. Otherwise do you really think they would ever put serious effort into developing a good browser?

I don't care how good they make IE, I will never patronize them the way you are doing now. For all the time off my life (and the life of other developers/designers) they have stolen they shouldn't be getting any attention from us and the only reason they are is because the majority of users continue to use IE as their browser.

Not only do they support THEIR developers they made their development tools free and don't put senseless restrictions on their developers. They also try to make things easier for their devs by making their technologies work across platforms.

Competition and making money is what motivates every company not only is your argument invalid it is also off topic because it's related to how MS is as a company but rather about the release of their new browser.

I'm not patronizing them I am posting about a new browser I was an avid user of FF up till 3.5.4 then I switched to chrome and to this day I am using chrome as my default browser. Looking at innovation and being excited about new functionality does not mean that I am patronizing any particular company.

Again, off topic and retarded.
