Old  Sending quotes/estimates to clients - discussion

Hi everyone

I have been a freelancer for a while and have noticed that most freelancers do not impress clients very well when quoting. Most invoicing apps just make a plain and ugly PDF for your clients. I believe a good looking quote makes your clients impressed and gives you an edge over other freelancers.

1: I would like to know how you quote your clients.

2: I have started building an app to make this easier for me (www.quoteplug.com) and would love to know your opinions on it. You can sign up now so i can notify you when it launches plus you get to use it for free.

There's not much to comment on until we can use it or see some example quotes. I use quickbooks because its all integrated with what I use for everything else, it would take a lot to get me to switch.

I was thinking of multi-page proposals app with details such as pricing, project scope, timeline e.t.c which is different than the traditional one page pricing estimates. Also integration with services such as quickbooks and freshbooks is part of the project roadmap.
