Old  Whats the best way to sell a domain name?

Hi, I have been asked to sell off a lot of my companies old domain names, apparently they may be worth something. Some of them are fairly good, but the way people price domain names is a little random and I'm not sure what the best way to sell them is.

I've seen lot of people start threads about their domain names and try to encourage people to bid on them, but this seems like a lot of work and that the chances of finding someone with a genuine interest is rare. I have been looking at services like Sedo and Afternic. Has anyone tried out these with any success?

Any advice gratefully received!

Hi there Molly,

You could try something like sedo but if they're decent domains you could sell them on a forum like www.namepros.com for alot

Listing the names for sale at Sedo and Afternic or listing them in domains for sale and auction section of domain name forums like namepros will help.

I would say so, it depends on the domain Molly. I have often typed in domains I want to buy to find a sedo page and contacted the owner with a offer.

I normally wouldnt buy a domain that doesnt already have some kind of content and possible proof of stats etc.

I say that cause whats the point buying a domain with just a place holder with 0 stats hehe
