  Old  Portfolio Redesign!

I myself just wasnt liking my previous designs. I really wanted to incorperate my photography into it. Here is what I came up with:

Preview:

Updates:
  1. http://f.exoload.com/507/benisikoffv2De32c.jpg
  2. http://f.exoload.com/507/benisikoffv2eb37p.jpg

Final (i think):
Main: http://f.exoload.com/507/benisikoffv2mf3bS.jpg
Portfolio: http://f.exoload.com/507/benisikoffv2port.jpg
(ill be using lightbox to make the images bigger)

Critique Please!!
Thanks!

It looks good but a 2nd color would be good.
Maybe add some more of the blue, right now it's a bit boring!

I'll have to agree with ee13, with only one color it looks very boring. The structure is good though and needs no improvements.

Looks good, but I agree with ee13, needs more color. Could use something on the text to the bottom.

Quite a nice design, I like the simplicity of it, looks like a very user-friendly design. I think it could maybe do with some more colour though on the top half of the design, the image you're using, maybe add a picture that's more vibrant, something like a nice sunset would be nice. But that's just my opinion.

Keep up the good work!

The layout is good except for the image of a camera. That is far too big and takes up around half of the screens real estate. If you are into photography you'll know the rule of thirds, try breaking your layout up into thirds, and make sure each element fits into the thirds. The header does not. The 2 column areas are the only elements that can break this rule.

Colour, where is it? Even with your revised versions you have not really incorporated colour. Try a bold splash of lime green across the top of the header, instead of that black. Then utilise the green throughout the layout in areas you want to highlight like headers, links etc. You have half tried it with blue, but it's all wrong.

Get the lens on the camera, it's too tacky without it, like you are really trying to force the image. It's not natural and has no real appeal to it. You have used the rule of thirds in the image well, try it with the rest of the site.

Testimonail is spelled testimonial.
