Im trying to decide which of these to buy

IonCube
SourceGuardian

i like sourceguardian because no loaders are needed. but the problem is its more expensive, they had a sale on which i missed for $175 instead of $250.

IonCube is the most popular encoder after zend encoder.

If Zend Encoder is too expensive for you then my next recommendation would be IonCube as well.

I have sourceguardian and its very nice. I got a special deal since I know the owner.

Fantastico also uses Sourceguardian for those that don't know. Ioncube is also very nice and you don't have to buy the full application. You can encode files online at their website for quite a reasonable price.

The current encoder versions of ioncube, zend and sourceguardian are about the same security wise.
