New design, need some feedback folks
I took a break from Chemistry revision (damn the January A2 exams) and I was able to complete this design.
Total design time: 1 hours 45 minutes
Programs: Adobe Photoshop 7
All critiques welcome.

that was totally a Blending style done in photoshop. I created the shape using the vector tool and then applied the blending style to it. I then added that shine in the top right corner using a gradient going from white to transparent. The shape of the shine was made using the vector tool too
I could send you the directions on how to make the style if you want ^^

Great work!
Two things I would consider. One is to add an additional color to your scheme. I notice there is a birght green in your mark, so experiement with a way to incorporate that into the design. (You might also want to play with an orange shade instead.) Also, maybe a subtle drop shadow around the edges?
Secondly, at the bottom of the page, you might want to put the footer inside the "bubble" (so to speak). This would break up the actual page a bit, and give a visual clue that the page is at an end. (Does that make sense?).
It's hard to critique, because it is superbly done. Great job. Now, stop studying and go build it!

It's a nice design but adding a bit more colors in there would help it a lot. It just looks very bland at the moment.

That is awesome for the time spent....it is awesome even if you spend weeks on it. Those icons are kickass, did you make them?
