How does not having that error present result in bad usability? I did forget to add that error in but I dont think it is fair to say it makes bad usability. Reviewing the code it is the difference of some text in the die() command.

It's bad usability because the visitor is presented with a page which has no information, no visual clues as to whether this is normal or not, no navigation elsewhere, nothing. If you think a blank page has nothing to do with usability, then I think you really need to go read up on the subject.

Having an appropriate error message would help, along with links to suitable places to go next. Never having to see that error message would be a better way to go.

P.S. Wildhoney confused me, I saw the avatar and thought I'd posted something without remembering typing it!

You're not losing your marbles just yet, Salathe. I've been posting and I keep thinking you've posted ahead of me. It's had me confused for a couple of seconds every time. I'm sure we'll get used to it!

It is a clear example of bad usability, I just won't go into it because Salathe has already said it for me.

Well, regardless of whether or not it was an innocent mistake, it still results in bad usability And by all means, sign yourself up to TalkPHP!
