  Old  Polaroid Cameras

I attended a party last week-end and the party organizer had 2 people going the rounds with polaroid cameras. Took great pictures and produced calling-card sized pictures. Do you think there is a resurgence of the polaroid?

Its all Lady GaGa's fault. She is the new creative director at Polaroid and they are trying to bring it back with targeting her demographic of Tweenage girls in high school who want pics posted all over their locker. Those polaroids are not going back into main stream.

However the Old Style polaroids as well as many other film types are making a come back has many persons like myself who have done mainly digital their entire lives are finding these cameras for cheap and just experimenting.

I actually never knew what a Polaroid was until last week when I went on a junk with a few co-workers. This (cute) girl took this huge Polaroid camera out and took a photo with me and suddenly it started printing out of her camera! I think they are really nice though, but as James said film is very expensive.

Okay, I heard the word "Polaroid" and it reminded me of the following. More of my friends are becoming obsessive with an iPhone application called http://shakeitphoto.com

You take a picture, you "shake" your iPhone and it produces these trendy-Polaroid-looking photos that look pretty damn good.

You suddenly made me feel so old at my 28, thanks a lot!

I remember when I was in my teen years I was saving for a long time to be able to buy myself Polaroid. It was a large piece of awkward looking equipment with film also being expensive. But I made some of the most memorable shots ever with that camera that I still have to this date in good working condition (and no film).

I still have a Polaroid camera. Wish I still had my Sticky Polaroid camera too! I used to take a bunch of pictures with it and stick the little photos all of my walls.

I had bought a large supply of the film when Polaroid had announced they were stopping production on them a few years back.

Talking about a great investment! Some people buy gold, some Polaroid film for all the camera owners who will hit nostalgia one day and realize they have no film!
