Why can't you? It may not be the best way to go about it, but it will work. Same with PHP and as it's still being developed it will only get better!

my bike wouldn't start about a month back and all i had was a screwdriver kinda thing in my toolkit and i had to hit this thing into the wheel to tighten something. i ended up with a broken screwdriver and scratches around that area that i had to hit because of the shape of the screwdriver

I program in Perl still. It is VERY useful. I am also learning PHP too.

yeah it did but with all sorts of marks on it meaning it wasn't in the condition i wanted it to be in which is a bad thing sicne i could have avoided that situation by using the right tool

I think perl is still somewhat excepted...but many people prefer php due to its ease of use.
