680i or 780i

Ok so I have the 680i mobo made by evga and my cousin has the 780i made by them as well. Personally I can't seem to see a reason to upgrade rather than the featured 3 way sli. Anyone able to fill me in on why I should or does someone agree with me that there is no need?
