1: to make the profile look popular, therefore more people add you
2: If you are a designer and have over 100,000 views it atracts more people and more business

Myspace is full of kids, who I'm sure don't want to buy designs or programming. Even if they did, what's the chance of them coming onto your page, never mind even hiring you from myspace! That's what webmaster sites and portfolios are for.

what i am getting at is that if people did want to raise there profile views for no reason, they can do it themselves and not pay money for something F5 can do quite easily. Or numerous proxies.
