Alright, I just installed the Crysis demo. Here are my benchmarks for the settings.
First off, my system for those who didn't read the first post:
Core 2 Duo E6420 (2.13Ghz)
Asus P5N32E-SLI
PNY XLR8 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 800 Dual Channel
EVGA 8800GTS 640MB
Western Digital Raptor 150GB hard drive
Gateway 19" Widescreen
FPS are taken at the top of the command post that you investigate, near the shore in and around the shack that is on top of the cliff. 1440x900 screen resolution.
Quality/Anti Aliasing/Average FPS
Low, AA off, FPS varies from 40-90.
Low, AA 8x, 25 FPS average.
Low, AA 16x (max), 20 FPS average.
Med, AA off, 40 FPS average.
Med, AA 8x, 30 FPS average.
Med, AA 16x, 20 FPS average.
High, AA off, 27 FPS average.
High, AA 8x, 17 FPS average.
High, AA 16x, 10 FPS average, dipping into the low single digits every now and then.
All calculations were made with FRAPS and a rough estimate. I just stood still, and looked around. There were lots of detail in the scene, and both long and short distances of places to look. For me, Med with 8x AA worked the best. I can tell the difference between all quality levels, and whenever I adjust the AA. Low quality sucks, especially with AA turned off. High quality with AA on 16x looked gorgeous, but its unplayable for me. Please note that the demo doesn't let you max out the graphics, there is still one more notch above High called Very High.
Oh yea, the game kicks ass
