Bluehost is very reliable, from my experience. I like working with them and other friends in this industry agree with me. So imho, you should give it a try.

It is not a good idea to praise to much the "overselling" web hosting providers, those who claim to offer "unlimited everything"! The company you mentioned is obviously a decent one. It hosts hundred thousands of websites and I presume their owners are OK with the service. However this is just a standard Shared Hosting.

I can express the point that they have doubtful reputation.
Think that the comparison will help you to get a well-marked picture of true companies.

Go for a medium sizes company and I guarantee they will provide more personal help and be more willing to assist you in your needs.

I'd recommend to stay away from EIG brands, their reliability seems for me weak

As for EIG I can say that their servers are quite reliable, but support is really unprofessional, they don't have any tech skills to manage hosting.

I agree with Artashes,

If you are going to sign up with them, and take out there "Unlimited" hosting plan then I suggest (well, your silly if you don't) you read ALL of their Terms of Service Agreement, and Fair Usage Policy.

I can guarantee that there is going to be a "catch" con in one of those documents.

My website hosting company, offers unlimited hosting... BUT, it clearly states within the Terms of Service and Fair Usage Policy that we will accommodate an unlimited disk space and bandwidth amount providing that the files stored on the server are your website files, and not something like your computer backup....

... and that is because we are being generous and feel that we should honor the "unlimited" hosting agreement... otherwise, I feel that it would be false advertising, and I disagree with that.

How can you get an unlimited amount? -- I will be honest here, "we" as in the website hosting companies, use the "unlimited" hosting term because it is a good marketing technique.

Anyways, I am not here to promote my services, my signature will do that when I gain the right "access" to have one on the site.

ALSO: The website, where you found the aforementioned website hosting company on is a "review site"... I use quotation marks there, because they are normally biased in what they write about the hosting company, because they have their affiliate link "hidden" away so they earn commission for each sale that they bring to the hosting companies that they discuss.

I have NOT ONCE, seen the name of a website hosting company that does not offer an affiliate program (but is very well respected) on those kind of websites.

Best Regards,
Michael James Swan

I see that you say you have been hosting with them for around two years.

Firstly, would you kindly provide us with your website urls, so we can check the DNS History and confirm that?

Secondly, on your website HostYeah(dot)Com, I see that you have written a few paragraphs about BlueHost, and state at the bottom of the website;

Disclosure: BlueHost does not pay me for this review. I suggest you to use BlueHost as I have used their services for long time. However, you will support me if you will use my affiliate link as I will be paid a commission.

BUT, for a website designer, that website has ONLY ONE PAGE, very little content and two AFFILIATE Links to your BlueHost Affiliate Account.

Using their services for a one page website, is not a REAL test of character for a website hosting company, as I can run a one page (even wordpress) website on a Windows 2000 server which I picked up for £150 secondhand.

This is not me "bashing" you... This is a case of "trial and error" and showing that there is always "more than meets the eye".

That is why, I write long posts like this, so that I can find all the relevant information, compile it and write a detailed post for our members to read so that they are truly informed.

NOW, if (for example) you were to write an article about a website hosting company that did not have an affiliate scheme (as per say) and you gave it a good review and there were similar reviews (from reputable sites) to back your claim up, then I "we" would be more inclined to pay more attention to the facts that you have provided and any supporting statements you may make.

I see you have been a member here since 2007, yet only have a total of 22 posts...

Why is that?

Best Regards,
Michael James Swan
