Old  Addon domain name redirect issue...

I'm not sure why this is happening, and it's annoying .. But adding sub domain under primary domain account on shared hosting, redirects to: primarydomain.com/addon-domain.com/ .. instead of just taking me to "addon-domain.com" itself? What's wrong here? Or is this normal? I don't remember this happening before lol.

BlahHenry.com = primary domain on share host account
BlahBetty.com = addon domain under shared host account..

After adding BlahBetty.com as "addon domain".. going to it, takes me to:
BlahHenry.com/BlahBetty.com/ .. >_<..

Is that only because I don't have .htaccess file in BlahBetty.com root? Or is there a way to prevent this from .htaccess in BlahHenry.com .htaccess? Or cpanel settings? Contact the host?

But if you browse the add-on domain in the browser, it should load its contents without any issues. Well, if it doesn't and redirects to primarydomain.com/addon-domain/, then you should get in touch with your host, they'd check the server settings and do the necessary.

There's also a possibility where the .htaccess file of the primary domain might contains redirection code set, in such a case it will redirect to addon domain folder and will show the same in browser.
Thanks for the reply Harry.. I guess I better contact the host then, because the primary domain .htaccess file doesn't have any redirection code that should affect addon domains at all. Just the non-www mod-rewrite in the .htaccess on primary domain's root.

In most cases you don't have to edit htaccess file, it will work fine
