Old  Please appraise my domain: StockPicture.net

StockPicture.net
Please appraise this domain of mine.

I am just curious about the potential worth of the domain (itself) without the project.

I am sure that everybody knows what "stockpicture" word collocation means.
But just in case someone never heard that term. Here is the whole stock imagery branch explained in detail:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stockphoto

Thank you very much for your opinion(s).

$55 give or take, since its a .net.

If it was a .com, it would be a very nice domain. Then again, a domain is only worth what someone will pay for it.

Id say the same, though you might get lucky and someone may be actively looking for a domain like that, put it on GoDaddy auctions and see what happens.

Thank you for your opinions.

I understand your points and I realize that possible value of .net will be in most cases only just a small fraction of price it could have if it was .com

But anyway … in my opinion 55$ is very low.

Although I understand, that you can be right and those 55$ can really represent real commercial value of this domain.

But for me it is just too low to be worth selling it.

Instead of selling it I decided to keep this domain and to monetize it little bit with simple search engine project aimed at stock pictures.
(Project is online and running now but it is still in development.)

I have another additional question if you don’t mind.

And how do you see possible future worth of such domain?
(I mean without project <– only possible future worth of domain name itself.)

Thank you for your opinion(s).

Village Genius will become famous soon enough

The issue with the domain is that it is not directly the phrase, I don't ever recall hearing someone say "stock picture." I've only ever heart it as stock images, stock photos or stock photography. Furthermore its a .net, that is poison to a domain. If it were stockpicture.com it would be a premium domain.

I don't see it increasing with time. .net domains will never become popular and that is the main factor in this domain.

  Old  Additional question

Yes, I understand your points about the .net domain and also about usage of proper English keyword "StockPhotos" instead of uncommon keyword "StockPicture".

In this context I would like to ask additional question again, but about these domains I own:

StockPhotos.sk (.sk is .tld of Slovak Republic)
StockPhotos.cz (.cz is .tld of Czech Republic)
StockPhotos.mx (.mx is .tld of Mexico)
StockPhotos.it (.it is .tld of Italy)
StockPhotos.li (.li is .tld of Lichtenstein)
StockPhotos.lu (.lu is .tld of Luxemburg)

How do you see possible 1.) current and 2.) future value of these domain names?

I am not willing to sell them. I am just curious about their possible value.
It is exact keyword "StockPhotos" match, but on .tld of countries where English is not primary language.
On the other side English language and thus also "StockPhotos" term is more and more used also in these countries so it is not unknown word collocation.

Thank you for your answer(s).
