I did too. But one of the addons I use the most has a very annoying bug with Fx3.

Just changed back to 2.0 after 24hrs.

Hmm... apparently the error I encountered isn't the only one since the addon is still in beta for Fx3. The guys say there will be a stable version in a few weeks.

btw the addon I'm talking about is Firebug.

Haven't spotted any error with Firefox itself.

Downloaded and persuaded a few other persons to do it as well
It is really much faster than the 2.0 used to be, also it consumes much less memory.

I downloaded it, but I'm sticking with FF2 until all my plugins are supported by FF3.

You can download version 1.3.4 beta, which supports Firefox 3.0
http://yellow5.us/firefox/linkification

For everyone who is missing his favourite plugins - there is a workaround for version check and in some cases it may work fine. However it might be somehow risky, so before doing it, it's better to do a backup.

Extension XPI's are (ZIP) archives, so they can be renamed to .zip and the files can be unpacked. There is a "install.rdf" file and it contains a key
Code:
em:maxVersion>X.X</em:maxVersion>
where X.X (or similar) is maximum Firefox version number this extension will work with. This key can be changed to 3.0 (or more) to provide FF3 support.
After doing so, the files should be zipped, and .zip file renamed back to .xpi.

But be warned! - You are doing it on your own risk
I've "fooled" two of my extensions, while I'm waiting for their Firefox3 upgrades and they seem to be working fine so far.
