Looking for a particular effect in WordpressI posted at the wordpress

I posted at the wordpress.org forums but no one has answered and I though maybe someone here would know.

I currently have this site http://77pixels.com and I have it where I put a large image up as the preview and I do this by adding the <!--more--> tag. But is there a way that I can have it so this is shown for the preview (on the front page), but not in the actual post?

Also is it possible to have it so when hovered over the image a grayed out area raises up with some details I remember seeing this somewhere but I forget where.

I also want the image when clicked to go to the post.

Dunno if there is a plugin to do this or a way to post in a way like this.
