Paul and I have come to an agreement tonight - if the money is not refunded within 48 hours from now charges will be pressed.

You should just track him down and phone him, or visit him if you live close to him. That's precisely what I'd do, go speak to him man-to-man about it.

It's actually very easy to track people down on the Internet with a little bit of research, if you need any help, just give me a tap on the shoulder.

If you feel it's worth it (More the principle than the amount), take him to a small claims court!

I don't think you understand the concept, you can't simply press charges. Because of the nature, it is not a criminal case it is civil - in which case you need to hire a lawyer / receiver or go to small claims court.

However you should also note that internet postings can be used as proof of slander the same as traditional print.

These postings are completely unprofessional as well.

Edit.

I just read the post again.... $55? Are you kidding me? Ya, brilliant. The courts have nothing better to do then deal with your petty complaints.

$55 is alot to some people, even though I don't think it's nearly worth a court case. You'd loose more money and time over it.

Why not file a paypal report? Or if you used a credit card, backcharge.

I think your post is pretty unprofessional, firstly were is the slander?

I only posted facts.

Secondly, small claims court? Were did this come from? I simply said I would report the fraud to the police if a refund isn't made.

Defamation is the publication of untrue statements about someone else that injure that person's reputation or character.

The term "Slander" is NOT used in conjunction with print. Slander is oral defamation and libel is written defamation. Libel is also used to refer to defamation that is in print, picture or any other permanent visual form.

Personally, after read this thread, I see no clear case of Libel.

All this over petty cash. *sigh* He was giving you information from the best of his knowledge. That means, and someone posts something in hopes of helping you, don't throw it back in his face.
