Namecheap will happily put the domains back to you.
Theyll check the logs and see your IP used to sign up and do general NS changing and see a different IP pushing the domains (as long as he pushed it to NC it should be ok)

Sh1t happens, if you got jacked then you got jacked... It's only $8 a domain and i don't think those 2 domains are worth arguing over. I hope that this is a lesson to you, to never give out ANY of your passwords to ANYONE.

This is how young webdesigners get a bad reputation, one person gives the whole lot a bad name. Sorry to hear what happend but this is your own problem as you gave your password out.

This guy was playing with me , He told me he will get the domains but when i contacted the persons who he sold the domain, They said they bought it off gather.I've reported and finally came up with a page with the text written :
Thank you for filing a complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3).

I hope i get my domain names back.

You can't take legal action as you knowingly provided him with your namecheap username and password.
You may be able to take it to small claims and sue for misrepresentation but I highly doubt it would be worth your while as you'd get reg-fee back for them at the most.

Actually , I didn't asked them for the money but the domains , I said I had lost my domains and not the money and asked them to ask gareth to give me my domains back.

I still can't believe how you would give him your password just so he could "see what domains you have" - I don't mean to be rusde but what were you thinking? Why not just list them for him?
Anyway, im sure you've learnt your lesson. Best of luck getting your domains back
