I really like the overall idea and the color scheme you have going on. I'm thinking that if you are really trying to emphasize the design aspect of your website than you might want to have more images showing your work or maybe something more visually appealing than the "vine" thumbnail you have up.

Maybe try adding a bit more than just the main thumbnail and the three smaller thumbnails beneath.

Keep up the good work.

The "Hi there" part seems a little too big (meaning the font-size) in my personal opinion. It takes away from the basic flow of the design.

Also, you could always add some extra padding to the bottom of each navigational link to space the links out a little more from each other. That'd always be good as well.

The white bar on the left has too much contrast with the right. My eye is drawn to it instead of your content.

Thanks for the feedback. I've been analyzing some feedback I got both here and via email, and also tracking the way users interact (CrazyEgg), and will work on creating a better flow.

Will post the updated designs here for some critique, thanks!

In IE7 the white bar coveres most of the design up. In FF it looks fine tho.

Yeah, I found that bug this morning. I don't really have easy access to Internet Explorer. Will be fixed in the updated design. Thanks.

the writings at the top are little too big also try making your thumbnails under "other work" bigger not quite as big as the latest work but slightly bigger. Also when someone clicked your thumbnail instead of taking to the project or jpg image, why not make it go to a summary page where you'll outline the details of that particular project and a link to where you can view it all example like a website link if it's full website project.

I like your color scheme and the overall design good
