Portfolio - looking for some C&C
Hi there,
www.stevenfergus.co.uk is my portfolio, it's simple, i know that, but thats what i was aiming for. I think it looks quite nice, but there is a few things i'm not sure about.
There is no description about each design/website, should i add a description? Is it important?
Do you think it's better to lin the designs in a new window? Or in the current window? (At the moment i have set it to open in a new window).
Do you think they should open in a lightbox? and have a description in there? Or link to the actual website.
Just a few questions i would like peoples opinion on.
Thanks guys.

I really understand the open design, and you are trying to show off your work more than anything, but it really isn't that high quality.
the dark green on dark gray is kind of gross, I don't like it, when I first clicked I had trouble identifying the projects from eachother, they need to have titles and be identified and more spaced. also get a new logo. try a new font on your text layout.
basically I would keep the basic way the content is lain out but change everything else.

Hmm, ok thanks for the advice. About the green, i had it looking really nice on my monitor, but when it came to viewing it on most others it didn't look that good. So using another computer, today i created it in the colour which i wanted it, but maybe your monitor is showing it up differently.
Thats whats going to happen though, it's going to look different on all machines.
Thanks for your information.

I would defiantly work on sharpening up the text in the header, right now it looks like it is all smashed together and very boring.

Ok thanks, i might work on making a logo to add next to the text, and play arround with different fonts etc...
Any more comments?

What colour do you suggest for the navigation background?

Replace the green with a more lime/yelow green or aqua blue and improve on logo
