Yes, I do have advise for you my friend. Get rid of the bevel, completely. In the whole website. Lose the drop shadow on the logo in the header. Put more detail into the header, but lower the opacity of that white "techno" stuff on the right side.

Do that for starters and then shoot me a private message or something and I can help you out with the rest.

Just wanted to know why you mean by the bevel?
The drop shadow in the header? What do you mean by this?

Sending a PM is not necessary and would appreciate it if you
would elaborate on some of your design principles or
suggestions on how you would implement them.

No need to question the coding of this site. Also if you have
any work or portfolio online would like links to them to see your
work.

What did you think of the articles and content on the site?

Just a wee warning first, you site does not center in IE 5.5 and IE 5.0.

Your main navigation does not work at all in IE 5.0, you can't even click through to other pages.

The site is actually quite nice, I like the header, but your logo/name needs to be more effective.

The chunky bevelled headers at the top of each section need to go. Maybe try a more tech background instead?

The navigation buttons would look better if they looked like they were being pressed inwards, rather than just changing colour. Try playing with the bevels/shading on the depressed button to make it look more realistic

Your site is nice and simple, the right navigation is very nice and works in well with the rest of the site.

Basically what he means is lose all the 3D effects (like the highlight on the top side of the nav buttons etc). And I agree with him, too.
