unable to fine .edu domain name

Hi,

had asked a friend to find and purchase .edu domain name but he says not even yahoo, godaddy and register.com sell it. I also found at a site that only non profit orgs can get it. My client is a commercial person. He needs it for a running a private education consultantcy firm. Sounds a bit strange but thats wat he needs.

You cannot register one like you can a normal domain. Sorry--and you will not beable to register it or a "private education consultantcy firm."

I would say a dot com would do it.

.Com is for commerical -- it's really your best choice.

I believe domains like that are only released for schools and such aren't they? It's like my mums school as .sch.uk but you can't register that anywhere.

no you cant reigster .sch.uk... its like mod.uk the domain is .uk and sch.uk is a subdomain... www.mod.uk - www.army.mod.uk
