Old  Shorcut icons on desktop (how i REMOVE)

Hey, i know theres a program somewhere, but after i search on google, i find no luck. My friend used to have a program like this. It removed those ugly arrow shortcut icons from your desktop and makes them look like the real program. if you know how to remove this or where to DL a program that can do this, please help me. Thanks!

The program you're looking for is called TweakUI. It's an unofficial Microsoft product, so you can download it from their website.

I'm almost sure there is a way to do it without needing any application.
